Operation Road Rage
The MEC forces have made landfall on the Eastern Coast of the United States, and are preparing to push inland. Caught by surprise, the US Marines are deploying nearby, hastily preparing a base of operations to stop the MEC advance. The key objective for both armies is a highway junction in the middle of the battlefield that grants access to nearly every key military target in the area. Whoever controls this overpass controls most of the Eastern Seaboard!
USMC vs MEC
General Tactics
Based around a massive American interchange in a beautiful country surrounding, this map focuses on vehicles and their absolute requirement for getting from A to B, unless you like exercising your grunt. This map oozes with typical American features such as cabs, gas stations, highway routes, burger bars etc.
The map itself is very linear in both design and gameplay resulting in rolling armour convoys along the highway massing up against each other, with AA protecting from behind. This makes targets very easy to judge as a pilot since most people stick to the roads. Because of the maps linear design, it has to be said that this is probably one of the most fair maps in the game as each side has an equal amount of vehicles and starting flags.
The obvious first objective is to secure the overpass to start the ticket bleed on the enemy. This CP is vital as it is by far the hardest to capture and get to, especially if the enemy have a group of AT'ers sat on the top, firing missiles down at you. Mobile AA also plays a massive role in this map and are the jets absolute worst enemies. It is not hard to go 10/1 and higher in mobile AA versus enemy jets on this map.
Beware of being on a poor team. If you get pushed right back to your uncap, chances are that you will lose - especially as MEC. With only 1 bridge out of the MEC's base means you will have a lot of enemy armour just sat on the bridge or in the CP itself. This is one of those maps where if your team plays poorly, you WILL get punished for it.

Single Player Map Difference
With Armoured Fury comes the addition of different single player versions of the 16player maps. Although they aren't covered in this guide, the following picture is an overview of the SP map:
This version is totally different to its multiplayer counterpart. Looks quite interesting too; its a shame it can only be played vs bots.
Map Oddities
Vehicle Counts
Interestingly, 32player features 2 scout helis per team and only 1 jet - whereas 64player features the reverse. The 32player version actually has more vehicles on the map too as the overpass spawns tanks and AA - whereas the 64player version doesn't. This is quite strange as you'd expect there to be more vehicles for a higher player count.
Despite this, you will very rarely see the 32player version running on servers.
Muscle Car
Most people believe that the only muscle car in AF appears on Midnight Sun, but that isn't true. It also appears on the 16player version of this map, 1 at each teams main base. Why was it taken out for both the 32 and 64 player versions?
