Leviathan
American nuclear submarines are lying peacefully in their pens, undergoing repairs at a naval base in the Persian Gulf. Unknown to the elite Navy SEALs guarding the facility, MEC Special Forces are about to begin a night-time raid to destroy the submarines. Should they succeed, the nuclear catastrophe could mark the beginning of the end for US forces in the Middle East.
SEALS VS MECSF
General Tactics
True to its name, this map really is a Leviathan. A peaceful night may turn to nuclear disaster if the MECSF get it right on this map. Featuring boat raids and land battles around an American submarine base sees a lot of action in and around a typical port of warehouses, train tracks and the main feature - a colossal sub pen.
With the 64player map you can get the unique experience of flying helicopters with nightvision, and due to the darkness means you really have to have your wits about you if you want to dominate in the chopper.
One of the most underplayed maps in the game, this is one of those that players either know nothing about or know everything about it. If you can learn this map, you will really gain an upper edge over most players.

MECSF or Insurgents?
As the “gameplayobjects.con” file was used to get the vehicle counts for this map, the MECSF main base is actually referred to as “Insurgent_Warehouse”. Late change, or a mistype??
MECSF with US Vehicles
You may have noticed that CP’s controlled by the MECSF actually spawn US vehicles, including the Apache on 64player! This can make it harder to determine whether vehicles are friendly or foe.
Night-time Flying
Leviathan is the only map in the game where you get to use helicopters at night. As the pilot, you can fly with or without nightvision, and the same applies to the gunner as well - in both gun and TV missile views.
Although the default view in TV mode is with the “dark nightvision” (as seen in the screenshots used in this guide, and in commander mode), if you turn NV on and off, it will actually go green just like you get on foot.
